Pink (aka Alecia Moore) grew up surrounded by music of all types. Her songs are filled with her life's history which the audience can easily identify with. It is no wonder that her popularity increases from album to album. In her early teens, Pink was already discovering her love for dance music in the clubs of Philadelphia. Her love for music grew so far and fast that by the age of 13, she had joined a friend's rap group, "Schools of Thought', providing background vocals. Pink's ambition to be a singer eventually took her to the front of the microphone and started writing her own music. Her road to success was answered not long after when it led her to MCA Records who teamed her up with a group named 'Basic Instinct'. Though the band didn't last long, it was through this which led her to another female trio, 'Choice'. When the fate of 'Choice' soon ended, Pink soon realized that the correct path for her is one that's solo. This chance came soon after when LaFace Records signed her up and hence, begins her solo career. (To read more about Pink, check out the biography page)
